About the Journal
Aims and Scope
Research in Nondestructive Evaluation (RNDE) is the flagship research journal of the American Society for Nondestructive Testing (ASNT). Since 1989, RNDE has published peer-reviewed papers on novel experimental and theoretical investigations that advance state-of-the-art nondestructive evaluation (NDE) and structural health monitoring (SHM) methods, including acoustic and ultrasonic testing, electromagnetics, radiography, thermography, and optical techniques.
RNDE's scope includes original research on NDE and SHM sensor and method development, verification studies, novel applications of NDE across industries and environments, and the application of machine learning in NDE data analysis and interpretation.
Beginning with Volume 38 (2027), RNDE is published by ASNT as a Diamond Open Access journal. All articles are freely available to readers worldwide at no cost, and there are no article processing charges for authors.
